DAY 12 of DIY & holiday greeting

Today is my last day of DIY, and I hope the past twelve days where helpful for all your holiday needs. By making myself create something everyday, I get to explore fun ideas and little concepts I've been planning to do since school started. Now that I have the time, I wanted to challenge myself to use up all that extra energy I had to make fun, simple and cute things for my pleasure. The extra treat is that I can share them with you all! For the last
DIY, I'm presenting another set of blank holiday cards for you to print out and cut. Click here for the full-size image.

Today also coincides with Christmas eve, so I wish you all a very warm holiday filled with family, friends, laughter and love. :)

DAY 9 of DIY

I'd like to celebrate this post as it's my 100th post since I've started this blog in 2008!Yay! When I first started, I was a stressed out 18 year old high school student who has just received not very good news in the mail about her dream school. Only a few days later did I realize it was a blessing in disguise as I received my letter of acceptance to Concordia University. Now I'm a 20 year old stressed out university student but I have a much better footing of what I want to do and a better idea of where I want to go in life. Whatever I choose, I want to thank you all my friends, followers and readers for faithfully keeping up with me and watched me grow and develop into a better artist :) I wouldn't have been able to go this far without your support!

Today's DIY are 6 collage butterfly tags! Use them to decorate your holiday gifts or use them as mini bookmarks, the choice is yours. The file is letter sized, and comes with 6 different tags. Click here for the full image.

DAY 8 of DIY

Ha! I missed my daily again! Technically speaking I haven't, considering I am a night raven and stay up into the wee hours of the morning with bloodshot eyes and a stiff neck. Today's daily are scrabble note cards! The background is vintage cursive practice paper, to throw everyone into school-age memories. I remember all those tedious drills on cursive writing, don't you?
INSTRUCTIONS: Print, cut, trim and use. Yep. One letter sized sheet of paper fits four of these babies. Preferably on thicker paper, but whatever works for you. Click here for the full image.
{please take note that when you click on any of my links for bigger images, it'll take you to my web Picasa. From there, click on Download to get the full image. I never had to go through all this trouble for a full sized image on blogger before. *shakes fist*}

DAY 2 of DIY

So I had to create a last-minute birthday card for my boss and decided that I'll use it for day 2 of my DIY campaign. The inside message reads, "Hope your birthday blossoms into lots of dreams come true!" The card size is 8.5x11, but it'd be preferable to print bigger for the bleed. Anyways, have fun with it! Fabriano Sketchbook

It's that time of the year where I finally have some scanned images of my sketchbook! This year there's been quite a few written notes than drawings because carrying my sketchbook is so much easier than bringing along a binder to every class. You can see bigger versions here. I'll also be adding these to my site later today.

I was lucky to arrive to a live model drawing session with a contortionist.

12 days of DIY

Just a quick little update! The holidays is approaching, and while last year I did a "a drawing a month" challenge for myself, I've decided to do something a little different: "12 days of DIY" challenge! Starting the 12th of December, I'll be posting little DIY crafts and resources that I made that is free to use for all your decoration needs! The moment school is finished, I'll be a lot more active, as I have a large folder on my laptop of scanned artwork that needs to be shown.

To leave you off on a happy note, here's the link to the interview I did with Countersoft Ltd on their Collective Matters blog! I'm so honoured to be interviewed with a team of such cool people.
